iF Design Award 2018

The following Hilti power tools have been awarded the 2018 iF Design Award.

The new TE 2000-AVR breaker is the latest addition to Hilti's dedicated line of concrete demolition hammers. Conveniently designed in the shape of a T and with a weight of only 14.5 kg, it is not only ideally suitable for breaking up reinforced concrete floors up to 20 cm thick, it also handles softer base materials, such as screed, as well as tasks where more controlled breaking is required. Its vibration levels are extremely low, at 4.8m/s2 so the tool can therefore remain in continuous use for 8 hours a day. As an additional feature, the electric cord is easily detachable.

As part of its hydraulic tool family, Hilti recently launched the NCT 25-A ACSR cutter, NCR 60-A crimper and NPU 100-A knockout tool. These tools are ideally suited for utility and electrical applications. Their compact inline design makes them lightweight and well-balanced. Cutting capacity, ease and speed of use is crucial when the electric supply must be restored. The NCT 25-A ACSR cutter's scissor-shaped head offers improved cutting capacity for steel. The NCR 60-A dieless crimper is easy to use, as dies no longer need to be swapped. The NPU 100-A knockout tool features a swivel head which can rotate 360-degrees to reach tight locations.
